Some might say that sequins are for the ladies, but Gossip Girl Character Chuck Bass (played by Ed Sedgwick) might be quick to correct that conclusion, as the character sports a full sequin suit on an episode of the last season (pictured above). Sequins are the hottest trend to hit this season, and though some may be reluctant to get on board, or wear something that gives them an 80’s throw back feel (wayyyy too Michael Jackson), don’t close the book entirely! For men, there are a few more subtle ways you can get with the trend.
Though fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld (pictured right) doesn’t exactly do subtle, he shows that even men can wear a sweet sequin jacket and 
make it look masculine and fashionable. For men, sequins really are a dress up piece, and you can add little sequin touches to a variety of things, like: bowties, ties, suspender, vests, tees, etc. But for the ladies, sequins can be worn in more ways that range from classically casual or freshly fancy. Whether you wear a delicious dress, jazzy jacket or sexy shirt, you can get this look in so many ways, with sequins on so many different pieces, at so many prices. The best for both men and women would have to be Holt Renfrew, but if you can’t afford something like that, try Zara or H&M, and give the gift of glittery glamour this holiday!
