He has more bars than granola promoters, He caught ebola and didn’t notice. He’ll put you on ice like Wayne Gretzky. He back and forth like Ponce De Leon. The cat I’m talking about is Homeboy Sandman, a lyrical tyrant (Those were all paraphrased Sandman lyrics back there) (Myspace.com/homeboysandman). He has been rocking the seen for a minute and has not ceased to amaze.
I remember when I first saw Homeboy Sandman perform, I became an instant fan. I was Shooting for ChillyS that night and he completely rocked the crowd and I had an eargasm (pause) because his brand of hip-hop was truly unique. Sandman’s music is something I can attest to being vitalizing, virtuous and refreshing yet still fun enough to play at a party (When I spin Sandman tracks at parties I DJ, I’m always asked, “Who is that? That shyt is dope/nice/etc.) “We Can Fly,” “iTunes Song” and “Lightning Bolt. Lightning Rod.” became instant favorites and from there it was history.
Sandman has two albums out on iTunes, “Nourishment” and “Actual Factual Pterodactyl” (How do you resist buying an album with a name like that? Let alone the dope tracks that are on that album) and his new album, “The Good Sun” is coming out May 4th (I can’t wait!) and will be available in a Best Buy near you!
Here is “Angels with Dirty Faces” off the new Homeboy Sandman for you enjoyment.
