Dave Mason is an English Singer, Songwriter, and Guitarist.
In the 1960’s, he was a member of Traffic with Steve Winwood.
Mason was a friend of Jimi Hendrix and ended up playing acoustic guitar on the Hendrix classic “All Along the Watchtower“.
Mason had his first solo success here in the US with the 1977 hit “We Just Disagree” which peaked at #12 on the Billboard Top-40 Charts.
He briefly entered the charts again in 1978 with a remake of “Will you still Love me Tomorrow?” which reached #39 on the Billboard Charts.
Though he actually had two hits to make the Top-40, he is often listed as one of the top One-Hit Wonders of the 1970’s.
Over the years, he has recorded with artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, George Harrison, and many others.
For a brief period in the 1990’s, Mason joined Fleetwood Mac and recorded the album “Time” with them.
Currently, he and his band perform about 100 shows a year as The Dave Mason Band.
