A couple of weeks ago, my little Sony point and shoot camera met an unfortunate fate when it was accidentally dropped by a friend of mine lens first on hardwood floor. Let me tell you what happens to a camera when this situation occurs – it BREAKS! Ever since then my camera has been unable to turn on, so I instantly began my search for a replacement. After lots of research and even more debating, I decided to get the Canon SD780 IS. I have never actually owned a digital Canon camera before and as someone who is passionate about photography I decided I needed to give them a shot.
Although I have only had this camera since last night, I can safely say I am already in love. With the limited battery charge it came with, TJ and I took funny photos in our living room and explored the settings such as enhanced blues and night scenes. I will have to post some photos so I can show you the quality (currently the battery is charging). I am definitely impressed! It doesn’t have a strong zoom, which I am okay with. I mostly wanted this camera so I could take it with me everywhere. I always need to have a camera with me. You never know when you will see something worthy of keeping forever.
In other news, MTV has finally gotten with the times and dropped the “music television” from their logo. A smart move on their part. It’s time they stopped living in denial.
Also in denial, me. I haven’t felt like much of a “writer” these days. I’m trying to get through everything, but I don’t think this whole winter this is going over well. I need a retreat to sunnier times. Things feel so hopeless when it’s grey and overcast outside. Perhaps I should stop listening to sad folk music when I have things to do! Is it May yet? Vegas and California, I await you.
